Para celebrar El día internacional de la mujer
Para celebrar El día internacional de la mujer en nuestro English reading Club hemos leído y debatido sobre "Eveline", un relato perteneciente a Dubliners, de James Joyce. Eveline narra la historia de una joven que se debate entre huir con su novio a Buenos Aires en busca de una vida mejor y liberarse del control paterno, o permanecer en su casa sometida a su padre, viviendo una vida de tristeza y aislamiento.
El English Reading Club es una actividad realizada por el departamento de Inglés y el equipo Erasmus del centro, dentro del conjunto de actividades de nuestro proyecto Erasmus + K229 Booki Cult, que pretende mejorar las habilidades comunicativas orales de los participantes en los diferentes proyectos Erasmus.
To celebrate International Women's Day in our English Reading Club we have read and discussed "Eveline", a story belonging to Dubliners, by James Joyce. Eveline tells the story of a young woman who is torn between running away with her boyfriend to Buenos Aires in search of a better life and freeing herself from parental control, or staying at home subject to her father, living a life of sadness and isolation.
The English Reading Club is an activity carried out by the English department and the Erasmus team, within the set of activities of our Erasmus + K229 Booki Cult project, which aims to improve the oral communication skills of the participants in the different Erasmus projects.
