Lottery" ha sido el primer relato de este nuevo año en nuestro Club de lectura Inglés. Shirley Jackson nos describe "la lotería", una tradición establecida en todos los pueblos de una sociedad rural en la que todos sus habitantes son convocados una vez al año para realizar un sorteo. Todas las familias están representadas y participan en este sorteo que es el acontecimiento más importante del año. "En junio la lotería, pronto tendrás una cosecha que no creerías", dicen los aldeanos. El premio llega al final del relato y deja abierto una serie de interrogantes difíciles de contestar.
El English Reading Club es una actividad realizada por el departamento de Inglés y el equipo Erasmus del centro, dentro del conjunto de actividades de nuestro proyecto Erasmus + K229 Booki Cult, que pretende mejorar las habilidades comunicativas orales de los participantes en los diferentes proyectos Erasmus.
"Lottery" has been the first story of this new year in our English Reading Club. Shirley Jackson describes "the lottery", an established tradition in all the towns of a rural society in which all its inhabitants are called once a year to carry out a draw. All families are represented and participate in this raffle, which is the most important event of the year. "In June the lottery, corn be heavy soon," say the villagers. The prize comes at the end of the story and leaves open a series of questions that are difficult to answer.
The English Reading Club is an activity carried out by the English department and the Erasmus team, within the set of activities of our Erasmus + K229 Booki Cult project, which aims to improve the oral communication skills of the participants in the different Erasmus projects.
